TechREACH
Program Info/Partners

TechREACH partners with organizations that support students’ well-being, leadership, or academic achievement in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).

Current partners include:

National Science Foundation
A National Science Foundation Information Technology Experiences for Students and Teachers (ITEST) grant provided funding to expand TechREACH to Eastern Washington. ITEST is designed to increase the opportunities for students and teachers to learn about, experience, and use information technologies within the context of STEM. TechREACH: Technology and Research Experiences through After-School Clubs for High-Risk Students, Grant No. DRL- 0624772

Washington State University Center to Bridge the Digital Divide (CBDD)
A grant from CBDD provided funding to expand TechREACH to Eastern Washington.

Microsoft
A Microsoft grant provided funding to support the Eastern Washington program implementation. Microsoft has been a strong partner since the beginning of the TechREACH program by recruiting mentors and offering field trip opportunities for our students.

MESA
TechREACH is partnering with the Yakima Valley/Tri-Cities MESA to offer the program in Eastern Washington. MESA provides high school and college preparatory support for TechREACH students and parent training.

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation provided grant funding to start the TechREACH program.

The Seattle Foundation
The Seattle Foundation provided funding to support TechREACH in 2005-2006.

Alliance of Technology and Women
The Alliance of Technology and Women provides mentors and field trip opportunities for TechREACH students.

Boeing Women in Leadership
Boeing Women In Leadership (BWIL) supports TechREACH by providing mentors and field trip opportunities for our Western Washington clubs.  

DO-IT
DO-IT supports students with disabilities to help them pursue opportunities in STEM. TechREACH partners with DO-IT to recruit girls with disabilities into the program and support their needs.

Pacific Northwest National Laboratories (PNNL)
PNNL has recruited mentors to provide our Eastern Washington students with role models who work in STEM.

Laser Interferometer Gravitational Observatory (LIGO)
LIGO Hanford hosted and provided funding for our Mentor/Student Kickoff Event and recruited mentors for our Eastern Washington students.
